Media for Race to Nowhere Events

In February and March, Trinity School hosted two screenings of Race to Nowhere. The event in February was a screening + discussion groups for educators and the event in April, hosted in conjunction with fifteen other schools in the Atlanta area, featured a screening + a panel discussion following the film. I hope to post the entire panel discussion in the next week, but in the meantime, the folks at Race to Nowhere created a shorter version. Here it is:

We’ve also been featured in two segments on CNN’s “Fix Our Schools” Program:

  1. Megan,

I am the Executive Director of LifeGate Counseling Center in Buckhead. We facilitated the parent/ teacher discussion after the secknd showing at Peachtree Presbyterian Church. In our discussion that day there was a large interest of next steps to keep the conversation going amoung this community. Therefore, our team has designed a first follow up seminar, that is free, to provide some helpful ways to grow and raise healthy kids and students amidst all these unhealthy pressures to achieve. The seminar is next Thursday, May 5th at the same place we led the discussion and showed the film, The Lodge Cafe at Peachtree Pres. The seminar will be in and out in less than an hour from 12-1pm and childcare is available for a cost. I would love it if you could help promote this event and please attend as well. I have a well designed constant contact email blurb i can send you if you give me your email address. Please email me at tsandel@lifegatecenter.org.
